What are olent candles made of? 

olent candles are made of 100% soy wax and scented with a combination of pure essential oils and high-quality fragrance oils.  olent products are clean, phthalate-free and toxic free. The eco-friendly, clean-burning, wooden wicks are made from FSC Certified Wood (www.lumetique.com/patents).

olent candles are natural so you may notice some “imperfections”.  The occasional white crystalline coating on the side/top of the jar is called "frosting" and it is a totally normal occurrence with natural soy wax. This does not affect the quality or the performance of the candle’s burn or scent.  An irregular, bumpy surface between each burn can also occur.  Both of these are indications that your olent candle does not have any synthetic additives and is made of natural ingredients.

How can I reuse my olent candle vessel (container)?

There are many ways to remove the residual wax. Our preferred method is to first boil water in a teapot.  When the water has boiled, fill the candle vessel (placed on a heat resistant surface) halfway with hot water.  Be sure that the container is out of reach from children and pets.  We typically will leave the vessels to sit overnight.  In the morning, the residual wax is hard and can be easily removed by hand or with a spoon.  The wick clip can be recycled depending on your local rules. Clean the vessel with soap and water and allow it to air dry.  Check out our Instagram for ideas for repurposing and we would love to see your ideas.  Post a picture of your repurposed vessel and tag us @olentshop.
